Director

Halldóra has directed three professional productions at "Borgarleikhúsið", the Reykjavik City Theater.  All three are comedies and revolve about timing, focus and the depths of the clown.  "Jacques et Mylène" is a postmodern comedy-splatter, "It runs in the family" is a door slamming farce, and "The play that goes wrong" is a catastrophical comedy. Halldóra has no specific ambitions as a director, her skill is analysing comedy and finding the essence in any situation. She enjoys handing out tools to actors so they can blow of the theatre’s roof with big laughter’s from the audience.  Halldóra considers herself more as a technical coach or a teacher rather than a director – but she really likes the title "Director Halldóra".
